The UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ of Chemistry - Carbohydrate Interest Group have teamed up with the European Chemical Society - Division of Glycoscience for their annual event this year.
The EuChemS Division of Glycoscience officially launched in January ‘24. To mark the launch, a series of four mini symposia on Glycoscience will run during the 9th EuChemS Congress, Convention Centre, Dublin, Ireland. The 9th EuChemS Congress takes place from the 7th-11th of July and the Glycoscience Symposia will run on Monday the 8th and Tuesday the 9th of July.
Mini symposia topics:
1: Monday 8th 10.00-11.30am: Advances in synthetic carbohydrate chemistry and catalysis
2: Monday 8th 13.30-15.00am: Chemical glycobiology for human health
3: Tuesday 9th 10.00-11.30am: Analytical and computational glycoscience for mapping human health and pathogenesis
4: Tuesday 9th 13.30-15.00am: Applied glycoscience for materials and sustainability

The event will also feature the 2024 UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Haworth Award Lecture (Prof Stefan Oscarson) and our Early Career Researcher Biosynth Award and Buchanan Awards. The deadline for poster abstracts is 10th of May '24. Please apply through the EuChemS2024 website.
Registration for the full EuChemS Congress is now open through the EuChemS2024 website. If you are a member of the UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ then you are automatically an EuChemS member so you can purchase tickets at a reduced rate.
Please also note that day tickets are available if you are interested in only attending the Congress for the Monday or Tuesday glycoscience sessions.
An UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Carbohydrate Interest Group - EuChemS Division of Glycoscience conference dinner will be held on the 9th of July from 6-8.30pm at The Winding Stairs, 40 Ormond Quay Lower. Ticket sales are available until 18/06/2024 pending availability through Eventbrite:
