Our Summer event this year is a walking tour around the historic city of Namur. This guided tour will be led by Sarah Strange, a very experienced tour guide, author, and poet. We will be led through the centre of the city, viewing all the main sites such as the theatre, town hall, belfry, cathedral, Church of St Loup, as well as past museums and market places. There will also be views of the citadel.
Namur – A walking tour led by Sarah Strange
10:30 (prompt) on Saturday 17th September 2016
Outside the Centre d’Information Touristique,
1 Square Léopold,
Namur
The tour itself will last about 2 hours, starting at 10:30 prompt. We will also be booking a restaurant for lunch for anyone that wishes to join (at own expense). This will then leave the afternoon free for people to enjoy the city and/or visit the citadel.
We will meet outside the Centre d’Information Touristique at 10:30. Sturdy walking shoes/boots and outdoor clothing are essential. A small bottle of water is recommended.
Cost of participation is €10 per person (no concessions) and the maximum group size is 20 – so it will be ‘first paid, first registered’.
To reserve your seat(s), or to obtain more information, please contact UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Belgium section secretary, Becki Scott, via email.
