Solar Cells: a bright future

27 January 2009, Tervuren, Belgium

Introduction
Prof. Richard van den Sanden of Eindhoven University in the Netherlands who is a leading figure in research into thin film technology for PV generation. Thin film technologies have been important to all the generations of solar cells developed over the years. One of the major challenges in the future production of energy, based on PV, is achieving large scale, fast, high quality production at an attractive price. Prof. van den Sanden will illustrate via a number of examples how plasma-based thin film technologies can help provide such solar cells.
