Top tips for preparing your #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Poster
- Keep it simple: Make your poster appeal to a general audience by making the science understandable by non-experts. Avoid using lots of text and instead summarise the main aspects of the work through graphics and figures.
- Make it eye-catching: #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Poster is a chance to let your creativity shine. Why not make your poster into a cartoon strip, an infographic or even animated?
- Be attentive to font size and format: Make sure posters can be read on digital devices by ensuring a larger font size, less text and stand-out graphics. Posters should allow high-resolution zoomability if required and we encourage avoiding taking photos of posters and uploading these.
Making the most of the event
- Posters should be posted during the event from 12.00 noon (UTC) on 4 March 2025. Any posters posted before or after the event has ended on 12.00 noon (UTC) on 5 March 2025 will not be considered for a prize. Check your timezones (below) to make sure you do not miss out.
- For searchability, ensure you have correctly tagged the subject category showcase pages in your #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Poster post. We recommend using the ‘@’ symbol rather than ‘#’ when tagging i.e. to tag the Materials #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Mat page type @UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Mat until the showcase page is suggested in the link.
- Make sure you use the #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Poster hashtag when posting your poster and #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥PosterPitch hashtag when posting your pitch.
- If you want to post a #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥PosterPitch, we encourage you to create a new post for your video, use the hashtag #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥PosterPitch and link to your #UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥Poster post.
- Engage with posters from all subject categories by asking questions and answering questions on your poster to keep discussions going through the 24-hour event.
Have fun!
