Interest Groups are member driven groups which exist to benefit UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ of Chemistry members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with the UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥'s strategy and charter.
Aims
BMCS aims to further the interests of all members of the UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ of Chemistry, both industrial and academic, involved in the pursuit and understanding of biologically active molecules.
The predominant areas include:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Agrochemicals
- Flavours
- Fragrances
Activities
- Public promotion of the crucial role played by chemistry in the modern industrial environment.
- Organisation of scientific meetings and symposia.
- Support for educational activities in the UK.
- Advising the UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ of Chemistry on policies that directly affect the BMCS.
