We welcome you to the 13th Edition of the Advanced Study Course on Optical Sensors (ASCOS2025) in León (Spain).
The aim of the ASCOS2025 is to establish education, discussion, and a contact platform for young researchers (from Master level upwards) working in the growing field of optical chemical sensors and biosensors. ASCOS stimulates interaction among students and expert tutors:
There will be also ample opportunity for socializing and networking, facilitating the other major aim of ASCOS: to form a network of interdisciplinary and international contacts and cooperation.
The aim of the ASCOS2025 is to establish education, discussion, and a contact platform for young researchers (from Master level upwards) working in the growing field of optical chemical sensors and biosensors. ASCOS stimulates interaction among students and expert tutors:
- Tutorial Lectures: covering fundamental theory and basics at a level accessible for every participant, and the exciting latest developments and applications of optical sensor technologies.
- Project Group Work: the students are challenged to apply their knowledge in solving specific real-life problems using optical sensor systems. Aided by the expert tutors, small and mixed groups of 5 – 6 students will work together during the course and present their solution to a given problem to an audience representing the international scientific community.
There will be also ample opportunity for socializing and networking, facilitating the other major aim of ASCOS: to form a network of interdisciplinary and international contacts and cooperation.
