The event will aim to increase awareness and understanding of worldwide regulatory regimes and guidelines for chemical hazard and human and environmental risk assessment across markets, to inform best practice and policy-decision making in the post EU-Exit era. It is hoped that the workshop will bring an understanding of chemical regulation in traditional and non-traditional countries and outline the possible impacts of differing approaches to chemical regulation for UK government departments and agencies, industry regulatory professionals and business leaders. Although the awareness day will use examples from industrial chemicals and pesticides, the principles will apply to most areas such as food-related substances, biocides and consumer products etc.
This awareness day is intended to bring UK government risk assessors, risk managers and policy makers together with regulatory specialists and industry regulatory professionals from the international arena.
This one-day event is open to all with limited spaces available, with discounted rates for UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ members, UK regulatory risk assessors, government agency toxicologists and policy makers, and will be held at The UUÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ of Chemistry, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, W1J 0BA, on the 27th February 2019.
