EUCMOS 2018 - XXXIV European Congress On Molecular Spectroscopy

19 August 2018 17:00 - 24 August 2018 15:00, Coimbra, Portugal

Introduction
The scope of the congress is to encourage the exchange of ideas and the collaboration among people interested in various forms of molecular spectroscopy, to help the identification of new trends and to define future objectives in this field.

The EUCMOS meetings can be traced back to 1947, when Reinhard Mecke organized a congress under the auspicies of the informal European Molecular Spectroscopy Group, in Konstanz. However, the meeting which has since become regarded as the first EUCMOS was organized by Ernst Miescher in Basel, in 1951. Since then, every two years an EUCMOS meeting has been held in different places in Europe. The scientific excellence of the series makes EUCMOS one of the most important events in the field of Molecular Spectroscopy.

MAIN TOPICS

All aspects of spectroscopic methods and techniques (including applications), as well as computational and theoretical approaches for the investigation of structure, dynamics and properties of molecular systems will be considered in EUCMOS 2018.
The topics to be covered include:

Spectroscopy of New Materials
Solid State Spectroscopy
Spectroscopy in Astrophysics
Low Temperature Spectroscopy
High Resolution Spectroscopies
Spectroscopy of Biological Systems
Computational Spectroscopy
Spectroscopy in Chemical Analysis
Spectroscopy and Chemical Dynamics
Spectroscopy of surfaces and interfaces
Applied spectroscopy (archaeology, geology, mineralogy, arts, environmental and food analysis)
New Theories in Spectroscopy
Time-Resolved Spectroscopy

The scientific program of the congress will include plenary and invited talks as well as oral and poster presentations.
