Next steps for the onshore oil and gas industry

15 June 2017 09:00-13:00, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
This seminar will provide the opportunity to discuss next steps for the onshore oil and gas industry in the UK.

Following the expected completion of the Shale Wealth Fund consultation, and in light of exploratory drilling moving forwards in North Yorkshire and Lancashire, delegates will assess the priorities for delivering new onshore projects and for securing the economic climate and investment to drive growth in the sector, as well as the implications locally and nationally for future policy decisions.

We also expect discussion on the issues surrounding project development, lessons that can be learnt from developments outside the UK, and the opportunities for partnership.

Further sessions examine the ecological impacts of onshore development, including remaining issues over environmental contamination, emissions and noise in local communities - as well as the future of regulatory frameworks to address these concerns
